Our Current Project: Voyeur
Bridgman/Packer Dance is raising funds to support the creation of their new work, Voyeur. With the iconic imagery of the paintings of Edward Hopper as a point of departure, Voyeur reveals multiple simultaneous subtexts through Bridgman/Packer's unique integration of live performance and video technology. Voyeur is co-commissioned by Portland Ovations (Portland, ME) and the Edward Hopper Art Center (Nyack NY). Collaborators on this project include filmmaker Peter Bobrow, lighting designer Frank DenDanto III, and Tony and Grammy Award-winning sound designer, Scott Lehrer. Contributions help to cover the cost of rehearsals, video production, costumes, set construction, sound score, and lighting design. Voyeur is scheduled to be completed in spring of 2012.
